2002/2003 Best Lecturer of the year

The 2nd year Aerospace Engineering students voted Hans the "Best lecturer of the year 2003"

The competition and the prizes (the trophy and a box of lego) were organised by the Southampton University Engineering Society.

2002/2003 Funniest Lecturers of the year

Hans was also voted to be one of the funniest lecturers (together with Dr. A. R. Chambers and Dr N. Stephen) by the 1st and 2nd year engineering students in 2003.

The prize is a Bart Simpson poster (which is now attached to his office door).

2003/2004 2nd best Lecturer

Hans was voted to be the 2nd best Lecturer by the 2nd year Aerospace Engineering students (and got a box of very nice chocolates for this).

2003/2004 Lecturer with the best sense of humour

Hans was voted to be the Lecturer with the best sense of humour by all the students in the School of Engineering Science and was awarded two (further) Homer Simpson posters for this (no pictures available as yet) [In fact, there was also a small box of chocolates].
